Sandra Harrison is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 30 years of clinical experience across a variety of clinical settings. She is the founder of Project Vision, a rehabilitation agency that served over 200 blind and visually impaired in Port St. Lucie, FL. She also was executive director of Proxy Care Management, a legal guardianship company in Broward County, FL. She served the needs of the homeless by providing licensed family care homes in various counties in Florida for the elderly, blind and those with chronic mental illness.
She has a broad range of experience in providing services to individuals and groups that include inpatient and outpatient mental health, children and adult bereavement, anger and stress management, trauma and loss, anxiety and depression, pain management, and assistance with smoking cessation and weight loss. She provides clinical supervision to social work interns and is a certified facilitator with the Children’s Bereavement Center in Miami.
Sandra believes in a holistic approach to counseling. She is certified by the American Institute for Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy of NY, graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a BSW and has a masters degree from Florida International University. She is a diplomate of the American College of Professional Mental Health Practitioners, with a speciality in clinical social work. She is an award finalist of the JCPenney Golden Rule Award and has received a volunteer appreciation award from the Mental Health Association of Palm Beach County.
